The 3300 XL 50 mm Transducer System is a comprehensive solution comprising a 50 mm probe, an extension cable, and a 3300 XL 50 mm Proximitor* Sensor. Its large diameter coil grants an extensive linear range of 27.9 mm, making it ideal for measuring differential expansion (DE) or rotor expansion (RX) in large steam turbine generators.

Measuring Differential Expansion:

Differential Expansion is measured using two proximity transducers observing a collar or ramp near the thrust bearing. Different mounting arrangements are possible, including two transducers on the same side of a collar or complementary input transducers on opposite sides, doubling the measurable DE range.

System Compatibility:

The 3300 XL 50 mm probe comes in three case & thread configurations, replacing standard 7200 50 mm systems. The Proximitor Sensor's output is identical to previous systems, allowing seamless upgrades without monitor configuration changes.

Proximity Probe and Extension Cable:

The 3300 XL 50 mm probe withstands harsh steam turbine environments with high-temperature resistance up to 200°C continuously and up to 250°C intermittently. It features front and rear seals, preventing moisture ingress, and utilizes High-Temperature FluidLoc* cable for added protection.

Proximitor Sensor:

The 3300 XL 50 mm Proximitor Sensor boasts advanced features, mounting versatility, and improved RFI/EMI immunity, ensuring reliable performance even in the presence of high-frequency radio signals.

Mounting Accessories:

The optional Sliding Bracket aids in verifying and installing the transducer system, allowing sliding movement for axial verification measurements.

Specifications:

Unless calibrated differently, the system's accuracy and interchangeability specifications apply when using Bently Nevada AISI 4140 steel target.
