The 3300 NSv Proximity Transducer System is used to measure the vibration of rotating machinery, such as turbines, compressors, and pumps. The 330901-00-16-05-02-CN proximity probe is a non-contact eddy current probe. It uses a magnetic field to measure the distance between the probe tip and the target surface. The probe tip is made of a magnetic material, and it is excited by an alternating current (AC) signal. The AC signal generates a magnetic field around the probe tip. When the probe tip is close to a conductive target surface, the magnetic field induces eddy currents in the target surface. The eddy currents generate a voltage signal in the probe coil. The voltage signal is proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target surface.
