Overview

The 16-point Relay Output Module boasts the following features and functions:

Features:

• Relay Configuration:
  • 16 points: 8 isolated Form C relays
  • 2 groups of 4 Form A relays
• Switching Capacity:
  • 2 amps per point at 120/240 VAC or 24 VDC
  • 0.2 amps per point at 125 VDC
• Protection:
  • RC snubber and fuse protection per point
• Power:
  • No user power required to energize relay coils
• Field Wiring:
  • Removable terminal board for field wiring
• Indicators:
  • LED indicators display the ON-OFF status of each point on the logic (PLC) side
• I/O Configuration:
  • User-configurable I/O references without jumpers or DIP switches
• Mechanical Keying:
  • Ensures correct replacement with a similar module type

Functions:

• Versatility and Ruggedness:
  • Suitable for switching various low to medium power loads such as relays, contactors, and lamps
• Resistive Rating:
  • 2 amps per point for 120/240 VAC or 24 VDC
  • 0.2 amps per point for 125 VDC
• Output Protection:
  • Fusing: Each output is protected with a 3 amp fuse
    • Replacement fuse types: 3AG - 3.0 amp, 250V, Fast Acting or Metric 5 x 20 mm - 3.0 amp, 250V, Fast Acting
  • Suppression: Each output is suppressed with an RC snubber to reduce high frequency noise transients on the board
    • Proper suppression at the load is recommended to improve system reliability and reduce noise transients in the control wiring
• Fault Mode Selection:
  • Configurable to maintain existing output state or turn outputs OFF in response to operating or default conditions

Output Protection Details:

• Fusing:
  • Each output has a 3 amp fuse for protection
  • Recommended replacement fuses: 3AG or Metric 5 x 20 mm, both 3.0 amp, 250V, Fast Acting
• Suppression:
  • RC snubber to mitigate high frequency noise transients
  • Recommended suppression at the load to improve contact life and reduce noise transients
