HONEYWELL 05701-A-0302 Single Channel Control Card

General

The HONEYWELL 05701 Single Channel Control Card serves as a comprehensive solution for controlling, displaying, and managing alarms from a connected gas detector. Its front panel display offers real-time gas readings and channel status, while alarm notifications are conveyed through LEDs. A dedicated push-button allows for alarm resets and card selection for use with the Engineering Card.

The operation of this control card is entirely microprocessor-controlled and highly adaptable to various gas detectors and application needs. Configuration settings are securely stored in an EEPROM memory.

Two variants of the control card are available, each tailored to specific gas detector types:

a. Single Channel Control Card 4 - 20mA.

• Part Number: 05701-A-0301.

b. Single Channel Control Card Catalytic.

• Part Number: 05701-A-0302.

Both of these control cards come equipped with a single channel control card fitted with the corresponding plug-in sensor drive module.

For added functionality, an optional Analogue Output Module can be inserted into the single channel control card to facilitate remote output of channel card readings.

Single Channel Control Card

The Single Channel Control Card performs the following key control functions for a single gas detection loop:

a. Processes the incoming sensor drive module signal. b. Displays the signal level on the front panel liquid crystal display. c. Compares the signal level with predefined alarm limits. d. When the predefined alarm limits are exceeded, it activates alarms by illuminating front panel LEDs and operating optional connected relays. e. Shares alarm status information with other cards. f. Self-validates the operation of its circuit components, software functionality, and sensor condition.

Sensor Drive Modules

Two types of sensor drive modules are available:

a. Sensor Drive Module, 4 - 20mA

b. Sensor Drive Module Catalytic

• Part Number: 05701-A-0284

The Sensor Drive Module conditions the incoming catalytic or 4 - 20mA sensor signal and provides the necessary sensor power supply. It includes all the necessary circuitry for generating the required voltages and currents to drive the sensor, acquiring the sensor signal, and scaling the sensor signal to a standard output. These sensor drive modules come pre-installed from the factory and seamlessly plug into the channel control card.
