The Central Part (CP) of the FSC system is connected to the I/O level via the vertical bus driver (VBD) modules, which are located in the Central Part rack. A maximum of 14 vertical bus drivers can be installed per Central Part. Each vertical bus driver can support up to 10 horizontal bus driver (HBD) modules. The maximum distance between a vertical bus driver and any I/O rack on the vertical bus is 5 m (16.4 ft)

Vertical bus

The vertical bus flatcable connects the vertical bus drivers (VBDs,10001/1/1 or 10001/R/1) to the horizontal bus drivers (HBDs,10100/1/1 or 10100/2/1). For details on vertical buses refer to the 'V-Buses' data sheet：3-4-6-10-14
