Honeywell 10311/2/1 FSC offers a dual redundant fault-tolerant controller designed for safety and shutdown applications within the TPS system's Universal Control Network (UCN). These safety functions are seamlessly integrated into the overall architecture to facilitate unified operations and control. Simultaneously, they provide the capability to isolate emergency shutdown (ESD) functions from process control strategies on a separate safety network. Through its robust and dependable integration, FSC shares essential features with its UCN counterparts, allowing for direct peer-to-peer communication with various components such as Process Managers (PM), Advanced Process Managers (APM), High-Performance Process Managers, and Logic Managers (LM). Support for higher-level strategies is accomplished by communicating with Application Modules and host computers on the Local Control Network.
