The Honeywell TC-FPDXX2 is an Uncoated Series-A Power Supply Module designed to provide DC power to the chassis backplane. It accepts a 19.2-32 VDC input and delivers power across multiple backplane voltage rails. Its installation position is on the left side of the chassis, where it does not occupy a standard module slot.
Power Input and Backplane Distribution
The module accepts a DC input voltage range of 19.2-32 VDC, with a maximum input power rating of 100 W. Its maximum inrush current is 30 A. The DC-only input makes it suitable for systems using a DC power distribution arrangement.
The backplane output supports four voltage rails. These supply different power requirements within the chassis, including 1.2 V, 3.3 V, 5.1 V and 24.0 V circuits. The maximum total power output is rated at 70 W at 60 deg C.
Protection and Wiring
The TC-FPDXX2 uses a non-replaceable fuse soldered directly in place. Fuse replacement is therefore not a field-level plug-in operation; a failed fuse requires appropriate module-level service or replacement.
The specified wiring is #14 AWG (1.4 mm). Wiring selection and termination should follow the applicable Honeywell chassis installation requirements.

Backplane Load Considerations
The four output rails have individual maximum current ratings, but their combined output power must not exceed 70 W. The total load calculation must include the power consumed by all installed chassis modules.
The specified 70 W output rating applies at 60 deg C. During chassis configuration or module replacement planning, the calculated load should remain within both the individual rail limits and the combined power rating.
The input voltage may temporarily drop to 16 V for a maximum of 2 minutes per hour during motor starting, according to the Series-A power supply specifications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does the TC-FPDXX2 occupy a chassis module slot?
A: No. It installs in the dedicated position on the left side of the chassis and does not consume a standard module slot.
Q: Can the four backplane outputs each operate at their maximum rated current simultaneously?
A: Not necessarily. The individual current limits must be observed, and the combined power consumption across all four rails cannot exceed 70 W at 60 deg C.
Q: Is the internal fuse field-replaceable?
A: No. The fuse is soldered in place and is not designed for field replacement. It is intended to provide fire protection under short-circuit conditions and may not prevent power supply damage during overload conditions.
