The 140XCP51000 by Schneider Electric is a protective dummy module designed for unused discrete I/O slots within the Modicon Quantum automation platform. Engineered specifically for Quantum discrete I/O systems, the module includes an integrated protective cover and installs directly into vacant module positions. The unit is commonly used during phased system expansion, maintenance operations, or temporary rack configuration changes.

The 140XCP51000 dummy cover module was officially discontinued in September 2023, with end-of-service support ending December 31, 2024. Schneider Electric recommends the BMXXEM010 protective cover for newer Modicon M340 installations.
