M580 Safety Processor and Backplane Integration

BMEP58CPROS3 is installed in the Modicon M580 rack next to the M580 Safety processor. The module receives its operating power through the rack and interfaces with the rack architecture rather than using a separate field power input.

The specified installation requires the CoProcessor to be mounted adjacent to the CPU and secured with two screws at the top of the module. Modicon X80 I/O, backplane and cable components can be used within the supported M580 architecture.
